Games, Games, Games
First, I encourage you to go to Pair-of-Dice Games, the game company I started with Greg Lam and Brian Tivol.
But to continue... Many of these are games I had a part in making. Others are simply cool, and so I put them on the list. Most have elements I am proud of. Some I would even call good. If you want more information on any of them, send me e-mail; I would be happy to tell you more (or get off my ass and put more on the web page) about any of the games I am part of.
Role-Playing Games
Cinis
-
This is Todd Stewart and my proud achievement. A dark-fantasy role-playing game worthy of something or other. Check it out.
Orcheron, and other Failures
-
These things were all modifications of existing systems, and other such. All good elements of these are now in Cinis.
Board and Piece Games
The Triangle Game
-
This is a game I invented for three players. It is a nifty-keen strategy game where you are trying to get your stones to your home base. The trick is your opponents are doing the same thing so you need some craty thinking to work around their stones and beat them to the punch.
Hexed
-
This is a game Tom Person and I made out of hex nuts. It is a strategic game which is pretty cool. Someday I will put up the rules.
Card Games
Aardvark
-
James Quin, Adam Tilgnman, Renee Sharp, and I made this card game
while backpacking. It has associated cards and lore.
Free Market, or Strange Bedfellows
-
A bidding, trick-taking card game where your partner changes over time. A nice idea--no one is your friend.
Napolian
-
A bidding, trick-taking card game where there are some funky rules such as the 2 taking if there is a pure suit hand, etc. Also the object is to get points, not tricks which changes the flavour quite a bit. Fun, for 3-5.
Spit
-
A everyone-plays-at-once card game which is a lot of fun. Rules as dictated by Jofish with respect to how it is played in the Kaye family. Thanks to him.
99
-
A bidding, trick-taking card game for exactly 3 people. Bidding is done with placing cards so when you bid, you lose cards. Cool!
Google Wacking
-
Search engine game
1,000 Blank White Cards
This I found through Stubby Spice's mouth (i.e. word of). It is trippy and cool.
Nomic
-
A game I played in Caltech, of making rules. Quite the find, and excellent to boot.
Word Games
-
Various word games and party games.
